Once again, IPS will be hosting workshops in St. Petersburg, Florida! World record holder for the most consecutive days of sunshine, this coastal city is sure to break the mid-winter blues and provide plenty of amazing photographic opportunities.
From portrait and landscape sessions in the historic Sunken Gardens to sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico, this is a workshop you will not want to miss!
Instructors Mandy Novotny and Benjamin Derkin will join in providing a wide variety of experience and practical insight during workshop lectures and photo reviews.
Classes will be held in downtown St. Petersburg. Student housing has been arranged at America's Best Inn (342 3rd Avenue North St. Petersburg, FL 33701), a short walk from the downtown waterfront and the Looper Trolley.
This housing is optional. Students are free to arrange their own housing or to commute to the workshop each day. Sessions will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day.
IPS will be managing the assigning and distribution of hotel rooms. Registration for housing can be done through Will Thornton, as well as any questions or special rooming requests. Students staying over the weekend to participate in both PWP1 and PWP2 will incur an extra $50 for the extra night.
IPS is currently offering three discounts for the St. Petersburg, FL workshops.
All of our workshops require a great deal of walking, but we will also be using the Looper Trolley, as well as vans or buses to allow students and instructors to reach photo assignments and destinations.
Our housing is just about 20 minutes from the Tampa Bay International Airport (TPA). IPS staff will be able to make several trips to the Tampa Bay airport throughout the day before and after each workshop. Please contact the IPS office with your travel plans and to arrange your shuttle details.
Additionally, there is an affordable airport shuttle from the Tampa airport to our hotel in St. Petersburg. (For more information visit supershuttle.com)
