After Wisdom Search at 7:30 am, we meet for breakfast. We were all excited about going on our first on location photo shoot. We went to a couple of parks that were very interesting. The temperature was a balmy 50 degrees from a cold front that had just moved through.
After shooting several images we cam back to the DTC where we learned the Basics of SLR cameras. After lunch it was learning about aperture and shutter speeds. We touched on metering and lighting as well. We then reviewed the images (with popcorn) I might add. We discussed some of the images that were captured earlier in the morning.
The Course is on its way! After some weather delays which caused flight delays everybody arrived. We had our Welcome and Orientation meeting as well as photographs made of all the students. They shared something about who they were and what they liked to photograph. One of the special things that happened was everyone got a chance to share what they would love to photograph from history if they could go back in time. The answers were amazing. From the parting of the Red Sea to the First Sunrise. We learned that we had many different types of people here and they are all looking to learn more about photography and their love for the Lord.
