Payment
Payment is due upon registration for IPS workshops. All fees are to be paid in U.S. funds. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, bank draft, Paypal, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. All refund requests must be in writing and are subject to our refund policy.
Discount Plans
IPS does our best to keep workshop costs low. We ofter periodic discounts and incentives to register for workshops that include early registration discounts, free t-shirts, and multi-workshop discounts. Follow IPS on Twitter (@ipsphoto) and Facebook (@ipsphoto) to keep up with any current offers.
We are pleased to offer repeating students a 50% discount on tuition at Prizewinning Photography & Prizewinning Photography 2 workshops. Students should contact the IPS office to register with this first-come, first-served discount limited by the total number of full-tuition students. (This discount is NOT available for advanced workshops, online Photo Challenges or international workshops.)
Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Class size is limited in our workshops and your participation is important to us. Once your registration has been confirmed for a workshop, we are counting on you to attend. We’d rather transfer your registration to another workshop than see you cancel altogether. However, if you must withdraw from a workshop, we provide the following refund policy:
(We understand that tragedies occur, and rather than add insult to injury by losing valuable funds through unforeseen and unplanned circumstances, we are open to considering appeals to this policy. These should be in writing and postmarked no later than 7 days after the workshop start date.)
Workshop Cancellation
Unfortunately, we are occasionally required to cancel a workshop because of low enrollment. (This review process occurs 4-6 weeks prior to the workshop.) In the case of a workshop cancellation, we will refund all monies paid, in full. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR NON-REFUNDABLE TRANSPORTATION COSTS UNUSED BECAUSE OF WORKSHOP CANCELLATION. Our limit of liability is to return all monies paid to IPS.
Instructor Replacement
It is the nature of the business that occasionally a listed instructor is unable to participate because of a change in his or her professional schedule. If we are forced to replace an instructor, we will do so with someone of similar credentials/abilities. When time permits, we will inform all those registered and update our online workshop information.
Waiting List
If you apply for a workshop that is full, we can place your name on a waiting list. We occasionally have students cancel, allowing us to transfer others from the waiting list to the workshop.
Acknowledgment
We will acknowledge your acceptance and reserve your place in the workshop(s) of your choice upon receipt of your registration and the required deposits—usually a matter of 48 hours. We will also send you a copy of IPS’s dress code, cancellation policy, travel details, a bill for any balance due, and any other information you may require for your specific workshop. Please do not make final travel plans or airline reservations prior to receiving this acknowledgement.
